Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:

GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The Quonset hut is located at the southeast end of a runway located next to the Kichatna River, approximately 9 miles from its confluence with the Yentna River.
The approximately 45-mile cross country travel route runs north of the permit site and crosses the Yentna River at the Youngtown Bend. The route goes west, north-west approximately 10 miles, then proceeds west, crossing the Kahiltna River. The trail goes approximately 6 miles west, then turns north-west to Pickle Creek, then turns west-south-west until it reaches Petersville.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: NE 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 24, Township 24 North, Range 14 West, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Applicant Douglas Graham, dba Graham Remote Solutions, has applied for issuance of a 5-year land use permit for commercial cross country travel with a Quonset hut for year-round caching near the Kichatna River. The permit area will consist of one 4'x4' outhouse, and one 30-foot by 40-foot Quonset hut style steel building with a dirt floor for equipment and freight storage. Freight will be delivered during the months of January through March via snowmachine or snowcat.

Start: January 1, 2024
End: December 31, 2029

The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
