WASHINGTON, DC - Today, U.S. Senators Jacky Rosen (D-NV) and Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV) announced $50,000 in federal funding for the New Frontier Treatment Center in Fallon, Nevada. This funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Rural Development Grant will support the expansion of the residential treatment facility, which provides psychiatric support, primary and mental health services, substance abuse treatment, and basic skills training to Nevadans in need.
"I'm pleased to see more federal funding coming to our state to support Fallon," said Senator Rosen. "As rural communities face difficulties accessing health care and mental care, funding like this is essential for the well-being of hardworking families in all corners of Nevada. I'll keep working across party lines to deliver the federal resources that Nevada deserves."
"Thanks to the New Frontier Health Care Center, residents of Fallon don't have to travel for miles to seek needed mental health treatment," said Senator Catherine Cortez Masto. "With this new funding, New Frontier will be better equipped to care for both its patients and its staff. I will never stop fighting to ensure rural Nevada has access to high-quality, affordable health care."
Senators Rosen and Cortez Masto have been steadfast champions for Nevada's hospitals and health centers, and they have been strongly opposed to Washington Republican efforts to gut Americans' access to health care. Earlier this year, they helped introduce the Health Care Affordability Act to make permanent the ACA's enhanced premium tax credits - ensuring that Nevada families can continue to afford coverage beyond 2025. They have also helped introduce legislation to reverse the cuts made in the One Big Beautiful Bill.
