Ascension St. John Cardiology Team Completes Milestone Renal Denervation Procedure

Ascension St. John marked a new milestone in cardiovascular care with its first renal denervation procedure last week. Renal denervation is a minimally invasive procedure to treat severe or resistant high blood pressure by quieting overactive nerves near the kidneys.

Dr. Thomas Kalapura visited with Fox 23 News to explain more about the procedure and how it can help patients who struggle to control their blood pressure with medication and lifestyle interventions.
