Curbside brush pickup is scheduled for September 8. Brush must be placed behind the curb, not in the street! Brush must be at the curb by 7am on that Monday. For the purposes of traffic and pedestrian safety, brush should not be set out for collection until the Friday before the start of brush collection.
-
Collection is for tree trimmings, shrubs, and other woody plant material.
-
No other yard waste will be collected. Please take brush & yard waste to the drop off site at 2159 Range Trail.
-
Brush cut/trimmed by persons/companies hired by the property owner will NOTbe collected or accepted at the drop off site. Hired parties must dispose of the material themselves.
-
The maximum diameter of brush is 8 inches; the maximum length of brush is 12 feet.
-
Small sticks and twigs must be placed in a container (ex: box or bucket) and placed at the curb for collection.
-
Brush must be neatly stacked and parallel to the street. As you face the street, ensure the cut ends are to your right.
-
Avoid conflicts with trees, poles, hydrants, mailboxes, parked cars, and other obstructions by making sure there is enough space between these obstacles and the brush pile.
-
Remove all metal, roots and dirt.
-
Keep brush separate from leaves, non-woody garden waste, and other garbage. Mixed piles will NOTbe collected.
In addition to curbside brush collection, The City of Verona offers a drop-off site for residents, located at 2159 Range Trail. This site is open from dawn - dusk, 7 days a week. This site is only for residential use - material from businesses or contractors is NOTaccepted.
