The Garland Public Libraries hosted the first-ever Curiosity Fest on Saturday, Sept. 27, bringing the community together for a full-day celebration of literature, learning and community engagement.
The Central Library welcomed about 500 attendees throughout the event, with highlights including a local author showcase of 43 North Texas writers (including 15 from Garland), a lively children's storytime with book character Pete the Cat and writing workshops for all ages. The day concluded with the signature One Book, One Garland event: An Evening with the Author, featuring Marcela Fuentes, the nationally award-winning author of "Malas."
With strong community participation and engaging programming for all ages, Curiosity Fest successfully positioned the library as a hub for literary culture in Garland!
