Celebrate Earth Day with a FREE Zoom Talk on Mosquito & Tick Management!

As we gear up for the busy "bug" season, get the inside scoop on how to protect your family, pets, and the environment without relying on harmful pesticides! On May 6 from 7-8:30 p.m., the Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center in Alexandria is hosting an exciting FREE Zoom talk titled "Mosquito & Tick Management: Pesticide Reduction for Pollinator Protection". This invaluable event is presented in collaboration with Virginia Cooperative Extension, Arlington Regional Master Naturalists, and Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia.

Why You Should Tune In:

  • Mosquitoes: Learn how to eliminate breeding spots, use safe repellents, and discover why common yard sprays and foggers do more harm than good.
  • Ticks: Find out which plants attract ticks, how to protect yourself and pets, and tips on identifying ticks and preventing tick-borne diseases.

This 90-minute presentation will also feature a live Q&A to answer all your burning questions!
