The Alliance Welcomes Students Back for a New Year of Learning, Growth, and Opportunity

TUALATIN, OR - This month marks the start of a new academic year across the 11 campuses of the Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities (The Alliance). From serene campuses surrounded by nature to institutions located in vibrant urban communities, students are beginning a new year filled with opportunities for learning, growth, and success.

The Alliance's member institutions will welcome students back on the following dates:

With classes beginning throughout late August and early September, The Alliance member institutions are preparing to provide exceptional educational experiences for their distinct student communities. Known for academic excellence and affordability, Alliance colleges and universities offer a range of financial aid opportunities-including institutional aid, the Oregon Opportunity Grant, Oregon's Need-Based Scholarship, and the Federal Pell Grant-to help make a high-quality private, nonprofit higher education accessible to students.

For Lewis & Clark College student Kiara Salas Moreno, the college stood out because of its small class sizes, diverse community, and proximity to home. She chose to study Biochemistry & Molecular Biology because of her interest in understanding the mechanisms behind the functions of the human body.

"The liberal arts curriculum at LC has given me the opportunity to take various classes outside of my major, which has allowed me to receive a more well-rounded education," Salas Moreno said.

As the new academic year begins, The Alliance campuses are filled with anticipation, energy, and a shared commitment to student success. From the first day of class through graduation and beyond, these institutions are dedicated to empowering students to pursue their goals and make a meaningful impact in their careers, communities, and the world.
