Spring Into Easter with Egg-citing Celebrations in Knowsley's Town Centres

Huyton, Prescot and Kirkby town centres are set to burst into life this spring as they host a dazzling programme of FREE family-friendly Easter entertainment.

With character appearances, creative workshops, themed trails, Easter themed activities, and a dinosaur takeover, the three town centres promise a magical day out for all ages.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Knowsley's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development commented:

"We're delighted to offer such a fun and colourful programme of Easter activities in our town centres this year. From crafts and trails to brilliant walkabout characters, there's something for everyone.

Events like these are a great way to attract visitors into our town centres, boost footfall, and showcase the brilliant shops, cafés and venues that make Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot special."

What's On

Huyton Village Centre, Saturday 4 April, 11am - 3pm

Huyton Village will be transformed into a hive of Easter activity, offering families a full afternoon of entertainment and creativity including:

Characters and Performers

• Beauty and the Beast will bring fairy-tale charm to Huyton Village.
• Look out for the stilt-walking roses add colour and spectacle to the streets.

Creative Workshops

• Craft Workshop (Village Green, Cavendish Walk, L36 9YG)
• Easter Bonnet Making (delivered by FACE at An Hour For Others, 1 Sherborne Square, L36 9UR)
• Sow A Seed Planting Workshop, encouraging children to grow their own spring blooms at home (An Hour For Others, 1 Sherborne Square, L36 9UR)

Trails and Family Fun

• Follow the Easter Lamb Trail around the village
• Face Painting will bring bright Easter designs to life

You don't need to book the workshops, just drop in. And best of all - every activity is completely free.

Prescot Town Centre, Saturday 4 April, 11am - 3pm

Prescot Town Centre will host a vibrant celebration, filled with playful characters, creative challenges and exciting entertainment including:

Characters and Performers

• Look out for Easter Bunny hopping through the high street

• Little Bo Peep will bring a touch of nursery-rhyme nostalgia
• Butterfly and Giant Flower stilt walkers will flutter above the crowds and add floral magic

Workshops and Activities

• Craft Workshop at Shakespeare North Playhouse (Prospero Place, Prescot, L34 3AB)
• Glitter Tattoo Artists offering sparkly Easter artwork
• Storytelling sessions to ignite imaginations

Take on the Bunny Trail

Families can join the Bunny Trail, exploring Prescot while collecting clues.

Kirkby Town Centre, Thursday 2 - Saturday 4 April, 11am - 3pm (each day)

Get ready for a three-day prehistoric adventure as Dinotrek roars into Kirkby again this Easter!

Meet incredible dinosaurs including Blue the Velociraptor, Spiral the Spinosaurus, Smudge the Stygimoloch, Terry the Pterodactyl and Apollo the Ankylosaurus.
