AXA XL partners with Samsara to Enhance Fleet Safety in the UK

London - June 17, 2026

AXA XL today announced a strategic partnership with Samsara, the pioneer of the Connected Operations® Platform.

This collaboration aims to empower UK-based fleet operators with advanced safety, monitoring, and risk management tools, reinforcing AXA XL's commitment to delivering innovative insurance solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the transportation industry.

Through this partnership, AXA XL will leverage Samsara's cutting-edge platform which offers clients real-time insights into fleet operations, vehicle health, and driver behaviour. This integration will facilitate proactive risk mitigation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance safety standards across fleets of all sizes.

"Partnering with Samsara aligns perfectly with our vision to harness technology for better risk understanding and management, and we have seen its impact in reducing claims frequency and costs by 10-20%," said Poonam Jivram, Head of Motor Underwriting at AXA XL, UK & Lloyd's. "With millions of lives affected each year by road traffic incidents, and transportation contributing roughly 25-30% of global carbon emissions, our goal is to equip clients with powerful tools that not only reduce collisions and downtime but also lower emissions and support environmentally responsible fleet operations."

"The insurance landscape is undergoing a structural shift, where underwriters are placing greater emphasis on verifiable safety data and active risk prevention," said Jack Burton, Strategic Partnerships and Alliances at Samsara. "We are excited to collaborate with AXA XL to bring our AI-based technology to their clients across the UK. By integrating with AXA XL's underwriting expertise, we are empowering organisations to move away from reactive claims handling to real-time risk mitigation. Together, we are providing the tools necessary to protect drivers, reduce emissions, and build more resilient physical operations."

Samsara's platform, renowned for its user-friendly interface and comprehensive data analytics, will be incorporated into AXA XL's suite of risk solutions in the UK, enabling clients to make data-driven decisions and improve fleet safety performance.
