DSHS releases November SNAP benefits

OLYMPIA - After analysis of recent court rulings, full November food assistance benefits started being released to people in Washington state on Thursday, Nov. 6. As of Friday afternoon, more than 250,000 households have received full November food assistance benefits.

Households that were eligible for November federally funded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program food benefits and state-funded Food Assistance Program benefits should see funds loaded on their cards on their usual issuance date. Households that typically get their benefits on the first through the seventh of the month should already have benefits available. This is based on the current court order. The federal government has filed an appeal, which is pending.

People can use these benefits as soon as they are loaded onto EBT cards. To confirm benefits have been loaded to EBT cards, we encourage people to check the MyWABenefits or ebtEDGE apps, or call the phone number on the back of their EBT cards.

We are working to notify households as soon as possible that their full November food benefits are on the way. We are processing new applications for food benefits that were submitted after Oct. 16, 2025, as quickly as possible. Meantime, we recommend customers take steps now to protect their incoming benefits and their personal information by securing their EBT cards through the ebtEDGE app or at ebtEDGE.com.

We are relieved we can issue full November food assistance benefits for people in Washington state even though the federal government shutdown continues. While we cannot predict what may happen in December, we will share information as soon as it is available on our website.
