The appointment marks a significant step for Middleby Europe. Julie will be responsible for aligning the marketing strategies of the Middleby Worldwide (MWW) brands across the region, drawing together each brand's identity into a unified commercial vision whilst preserving what makes each one distinct. Her remit spans brand positioning, go-to-market strategy, digital transformation, and direct support for the local marketing teams across Europe.
Julie joins Middleby Europe where she served as Head of Global Brand Marketing for Convotherm, a Welbilt brand. In that role, she held full strategic and operational responsibility for Convotherm's global brand across key accounts, government channels, and general markets. Her track record includes translating complex market and customer insight into compelling propositions, leading global product launches, and building cross-cultural teams that deliver results across Europe, the US, and Asia.
"Middleby Europe has an exceptional portfolio of brands, each with a strong identity and loyal customer base. My focus will be on connecting those brands through a shared vision - one that supports our local teams, speaks clearly to our customers, and positions Middleby Europe as the partner of choice across the region. I'm looking forward to getting to work."
- Julie Thomssen, European Marketing Director, Middleby Europe
Julie's appointment reflects Middleby Europe's commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality marketing experience for customers and channel partners across the continent. With fluency in English and German and a well-established network across Europe, she is ideally placed to bridge the gap between global brand strategy and local market execution.
Over the coming months, Julie will work closely with brand teams and local marketing leads to develop a shared framework that strengthens customer relationships, sharpens brand equity, and creates new commercial momentum across the Middleby Europe footprint.
