President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten signed a Joint Declaration on the start of work on the Drone Deal and agreed on the co-production of drones.
The Drone Deal between Ukraine and the Netherlands is a strategic initiative that provides for the joint development and production of drones, missiles, electronic warfare systems, and other defense technologies.
The cooperation will also include coordinated investments in defense infrastructure, research, innovation, and a systematic exchange of operational experience that Ukraine has gained during its fight against Russian aggression. The leaders tasked their teams with working out all the details.
From now on, Ukraine and the Netherlands are moving from sustained support to deeper integration in the field of defense production, technologies, and long-term capability development.
The countries will cooperate to strengthen defense-industrial capacity and scale up production to respond to security challenges. This cooperation is intended to evolve into a long-term defense-industrial partnership.
In the presence of the President and the Prime Minister, a licensing agreement was also signed, initiating co-production of drones.
