Insurers have paid more than $23 Billion in Southern California Wildfire Claims

Insurers committed to fast and fair recovery for policyholders impacted by wildfires

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The American Property Casualty Insurance Association issued the following statement in response to claims payment data released by the California Department of Insurance (CDI) showing that insurers have paid $23.7 Billion - and counting - to date to those impacted by the Eaton and Palisade wildfires. The data reflects payments reported to CDI by admitted insurers, the California FAIR Plan, and surplus lines carriers. This statement can be attributed to Denni Ritter, APCIA Department Vice President for State Government Relations.

"For over a year now, insurers have worked tirelessly to support the residents and businesses impacted by the devastating Southern California wildfires - so they can recover and rebuild from this tragedy. Insurers will continue working alongside policyholders every step of the way to support rebuilding efforts and help Californians come back stronger."
