WASHINGTON, DC - At the request of HHS, under the leadership of RFK Jr., a meeting to review the United States' measles elimination status has been postponed until November, likely after the midterm elections.
Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-Md.) released the following statement in response:
"RFK Jr. is continuing to play politics with our lives. HHS has asked to postpone a 'highly anticipated' meeting to review the United States' measles elimination status until likely after the midterm elections.
"Why?
"Because RFK Jr. has failed to protect Americans from this deadly disease. In fact, he and his co-conspirators have successfully revived the disease in America. We are experiencing the WORST measles crisis in over 30 years.
"Actual health experts and doctors - neither label applies to RFK Jr. - are all but certain the United States will lose our measles elimination status. All thanks to the conspiracy theorist charged with protecting the American people's health.
"I will continue to oppose this man with everything I have for the sake of the American people. Our lives are worth fighting for. RFK Jr. must be fired or resign immediately."
Senator Alsobrooks has led the effort in the Senate to remove RFK Jr.
