Bellflower City Council Selects New Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem
On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Bellflower City Council held its annual reorganization meeting, marking a transition in City leadership for the 2026 calendar year.
By unanimous vote, the City Council selected Sonny R. Santa Ines to serve as Mayor and Victor A. Sanchez to serve as Mayor Pro Tem. Both officials will serve in their respective roles for a one-year term.
The annual reorganization is a customary process that allows the City Council to designate its Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem. These leadership roles are responsible for presiding over City Council meetings, representing the City at official functions and providing direction on policy matters.
