Congressman Moran Announces Winner of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge

Congressman Nathaniel Moran (TX-01) announced the winner of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge. This year's winner is Texas High School sophomore, Nirav Neupane, recognized for his app,LionLang.

"For the second year in a row,Niravhas shown true skill and expertise in his computer science and app creation,"said Congressman Moran."His app,LionLang, innovates communication through AI technology. Users can interactively practice speeches, track their progress, and receive feedback on pacing, pausing, and storytelling."

"This competition showcases how East Texas students are using technology to elevate, educate, and learn,"continued Congressman Moran."Congratulations to all who participated, you are each leading the future with innovative and creative solutions."

Background:

The Congressional App Challenge is a prestigious competition for student computer scientists. Since the challenge began in 2015, over 40,000 students across all 50 states have participated. This is the 26th competition Texas' First District has participated in.

Students from Center High School, Tyler Legacy High School, Brook Hill High School, Tyler High School, and Texas High School submitted entries for this year's contest in Texas' First District. A two-judge expert panel reviewed the student submissions.
