Starting on Wednesday 23 July, and running for six weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays , the Hyrox Race for Success programme is a dynamic youth engagement initiative designed to introduce teens aged between 1417 to the world of health and fitness.
Delivered by Hyrox qualified staff at Evolution Fitness on Dyffryn Business Park, the course aims to foster positive physical and mental wellbeing, skill development and community cohesion.
PC Stuart Turley, who's part of the Caerphilly north neighbourhood team and is working with partners on the scheme, said:
"We're pleased to bring this initiative to teens in the area, giving them the chance to learn a bit more about the world of Hyrox racing and, in particular, making healthier decisions with nutrition and exercise.
"The initiative is particularly timely as well with the recent sold-out Hyrox event at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, and offers structured coaching from personal trainers, free gym access, tailored fitness plans and mentorship around a range of topics including mental health, first aid, further education opportunities and more."
If you're aged 14 to 17 and interested in taking part, you can contact Evolution Fitness on 01443 315260 for more details.
Beginning on Wednesday 23 July, the course will run for six weeks every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, between 11am - 1pm.
Location of the course:
Evolution Fitness Unit 2, Withey Dyffryn Court, Dyffryn Business Park, Ystrad Mynach CF82 7TT.
The start of this latest youth engagment programme follows the successful launch of the team's In the Right Court initiative in Rhymney.
As part of its Respect Rhymney programme, neighbourhood officers introduced the tennis initiative to bring youngsters together to promote positive communities.
