Landstar Appreciates BCOs

Every year, Landstar hosts its BCO Appreciation Days when the entire network makes an extra special effort to show business capacity owners (BCOs) just how much their dedication to safety and service excellence means to Landstar employees, agents and customers.

Hundreds of BCOs attended the two-day event held in Durant, Oklahoma, Sept. 18-19, which happened to fall in the middle of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.

BCOs attended business-related breakout presentations, safety meetings, and a vendor expo where they met with representatives from companies which offer a variety of trucking products and services as part of LCAPP® - Landstar Contractors' Advantage Purchasing Program. BCOs had the opportunity to take part in a question-and-answer session with Landstar's executive team and several Landstar agents on-site with booths promoting their agencies and participating on an agent panel discussion.

Landstar President and CEO Frank Lonegro shared how much Landstar appreciates the passion that BCO entrepreneurs have for their profession and the transportation industry. He updated the audience of independent businesses capacity providers on the ways in which Landstar continues to provide support, technology and other tools to help BCOs navigate the road to success.

Each day attendees were treated to entertainment, food and door prizes. But the high point of the two-day event was Landstar's 50th truck giveaway! Thursday evening BCO Stacie Simmons won a brand new bright blue 2025 Kenworth T-680.
