New Watering Schedule

New Watering Schedule

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Feb. 16, 2026) - In an effort to better conserve water during the Southwest Florida Water Management District's water shortage restriction, a portion of Charlotte County residents, including those on private wells, are asked to observe a new watering day schedule.

The new schedule is based on what number your address ends in:

  • 0 or 1, shall only water on Monday.
  • 2 or 3, shall only water on Tuesday.
  • 4 or 5, shall only water on Wednesday.
  • 6 or 7, shall only water on Thursday.
  • 8 or 9, shall only water on Friday, along with locations with a mix of addresses or for which an address cannot be determined (such as common areas associated with a subdivision).

Watering hours are reduced to the morning only, from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (not lawns) are allowed any day, any time.

These measures are in effect through July 1, 2026.
