From December 16 to 17, 2025, Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin held political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of China and Belarus in Minsk with Belarusian First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Lukashevich, and met with Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolay Snopkov and Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov.
Liu Bin stated that China and Belarus are true friends and good partners. Under the strategic guidance and leadership of President Xi Jinping and President Aleksandr Lukashenko, bilateral relations have achieved leapfrog development, with cooperation in various fields progressing in an all-round manner. China is ready to work with Belarus, following the fundamental guidance of the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, to maintain mutual support, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthen international collaboration, and promote the continuous high-level development of China-Belarus relations.
The Belarusian side stated that the two countries have kept close high-level exchanges, seen fruitful results in pragmatic cooperation, and witnessed effective international collaboration. Belarus is willing to implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state and promote the high-quality development of Belarus-China relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. Belarus firmly supports the Global Governance Initiative put forth by President Xi Jinping.
The Belarusian side reiterated its commitment to the one-China principle, and supports all efforts made by the Chinese government to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Belarus resolutely opposes any interference in China's internal affairs and any remarks that undermine the post-World War II international order and regional stability.
