SPARKS, Nev. - The City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department is inviting local artists to submit artwork to be considered for display in the Sparks City Hall Art Gallery.
Located in the main foyer of Sparks City Hall, the rotating gallery features a 12-foot by 7-foot display wall that welcomes approximately 2,000 visitors each month. One selected artist will have their artwork showcased for a three-month period, providing significant public exposure within the community.
"We're excited to feature a new local artist in the gallery space inside our own Sparks City Hall," said Special Events Supervisor Raquel Monserrat. "This space will give artists an opportunity to reach new audiences and art buyers, while City of Sparks employees are inspired by a local artist's work."
The opportunity is open exclusively to artists who live or work in Sparks. Artists must submit a cohesive body of work-consisting of 4 to 10 individual pieces-for review by a selection panel. One artist will be chosen per quarter.
There is no fee for submitting work for consideration. To be eligible, artists must provide an artist statement along with digital images of the proposed artwork by July 7, 2025.Full details and submission guidelines are available at cityofsparks.us/callforartists.
