Bettendorf Police Department's Senior Angel Tree Needs Gift Givers November 17, 2025 - The Bettendorf Police Department (BPD) is asking for help making the holidays happier for seniors in our community.BPD is once again partnering with CASI - Center for Active Seniors, Inc., for their Senior Secret Santa program. Anyone can stop by BPD (1609 State Street) during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) and choose a name tag from our Senior Angel Tree. Then, you can buy gifts for that person and return the unwrapped items by Friday, December 5."During the holidays, CASI encourages the public to remember our seniors," said Laura Kopp, Executive Director of CASI. "We have hundreds of seniors across the community who may not have family and may suffer from loneliness. It is our goal that all our seniors can experience the joy of the holiday season. The Senior Secret Santa program helps us all give back to our older adults, who have raised families over the years but may now be alone and may not feel loved during this season. Overall, this program will provide holiday joy for more than 500 area seniors.""We welcome our community to come to their police department, grab an ornament, and help brighten a senior's holiday," said Doug Scott, Bettendorf Police Chief. The Senior Angel Tree is one of several programs and events taking place in the City of Bettendorf this holiday season.
