Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus I.Sekreta meets head of the IFRC Office in Belarus
05 March 2026On March 5, 2026 the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Igor Sekreta, met with the head of the cluster Office of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, Frank Mohrhauer.
The interlocutors discussed current issues of cooperation between Belarus and the Federation, focused on the humanitarian situation in the region and zones if war conflicts.
Following the meeting, the parties signed Plan of Joint Activities of Governmental and Other Organisations of the Republic of Belarus and the Country Cluster Delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus for 2026.
For reference: this is the first time the Belarusian side has signed a joint action plan with the IFRC. The document provides for a set of informational and practical activities aimed at addressing current challenges in emergency management and migration in the region.
