Texas Health Resources Foundation Teams Up With North Texas Ford Dealers to Provide Cancer Screenings for Men and Women

ARLINGTON, Texas, Sept. 25, 2025 - Texas Health Resources Foundation is proud to announce a continued partnership with the North Texas Ford Dealers, who have pledged $50,000 to support of the Wellness for Life® Mobile Health Program.

This marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between the two organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to improving community health in North Texas.

"We are grateful to the North Texas Ford Dealers for sharing our commitment to improving the health of the people in North Texas," said Laura McWhorter, president of the Texas Health Resources Foundation. "Through their sponsorship of the Wellness for Life Mobile Program, both men and women with barriers to care will receive access to care that could save their lives."

This year, the North Texas Ford Dealers' generous gift will support seven mobile health screening events at Ford dealerships across North Texas. Four events will offer both mammography screenings and well-woman visits, while three will provide well-male visits. The well-woman and well-male visits are comprehensive, head-to-toe assessments conducted by board-certified nurse practitioners, including medical intake, vital signs, and blood analysis. Eligible patients may also receive colon cancer screening kits. Additionally, three male-focused community events will feature quick Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) finger-stick testing to screen for prostate cancer. Texas Health provides follow-up navigation for any abnormal results identified through mammography, PSA testing, or other screenings.
