Ray Johnson was an avid skydiver. When he was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, he had to turn his attention toward his treatment plan. When he began treatment at Karmanos, he told his nurses that when he beats cancer, he will do another dive - he also invited them to skydive with him. About 16 months after his stem cell transplant, the three took to the skies.
