Meeting with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin

On December 22, 2025, on the sidelines of the informal summit of the heads of state of the CIS countries, a meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.

The meeting discussed important aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia.

The need to further develop cooperation within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance was stressed.

The heads of state strongly condemned the brutal murder of 10-year-old Tajik citizen Qobiljon Aliyev, emphasizing the need for an impartial investigation of this crime and bringing all perpetrators to justice.

The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, expressed his deep condolences to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the family and relatives of the deceased Qobiljon Aliyev, accentuating that such terrorist acts, especially against children, are beyond human understanding.

The heads of state decided to instruct the relevant authorities of both sides to strengthen cooperation in combating such violent acts and to take urgent measures in this direction.
