Minnesota State Moorhead to Host Fargo-Moorhead Student Veterans 9/11 Memorial 5K
Minnesota State Moorhead will host the second annual Fargo Moorhead Student Veterans 9/11 Memorial 5K on the evening of Friday, Sept. 11, honoring the sacrifices of service members and first responders under this year's theme, "Run to Remember." 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.
The race begins at 6 p.m. and follows a flat course through campus, finishing on the Campus Mall. Proceeds fund student veteran programming, spouse and dependent scholarships, and a tactical fund that assists veterans, firefighters, law enforcement officers and other emergency responders in times of need.
The event is capped at 200 runners with a single flat registration period. Every runner is chip timed, and all participants receive a commemorative t-shirt.
Registration is $20, with a deadline of noon on Sept. 9. Runners must be 12 years or older.
