Guy Carpenter appoints Ian Bartholomew as Global Head of Parametric Advisory

LONDON, 17 March, 2026 ─ Guy Carpenter, a business of Marsh (NYSE: MRSH) and a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist, today announced the appointment of Ian Bartholomew PhD as Global Head of Parametric Advisory, effective June 1, 2026. Based in London, he will report to David Lightfoot, Managing Director, Global Analytics and Advisory, Guy Carpenter.

In this role, Dr. Bartholomew will work closely with the broking team to drive growth in this emerging area delivering robust parametric solutions for clients. He joins Guy Carpenter from FloodFlash, a pioneer in parametric flood insurance, where he was Co-Founder and Chief Underwriting Officer. Before founding FloodFlash in 2017, Dr. Bartholomew was a senior consultant in the capital markets advisory team at Moody's RMS for five years.
