Your role in a safe campus community – Complete your Title IX Training!

As the new academic year is underway, it's a vital time to ensure our campus remains a safe and respectful environment for everyone. This begins with our annual UA Safe Title IX Training, a mandatory online module designed to educate our campus community.

Who needs to complete it? Every University of Alaska employee, all degree-seeking students (including online and those in housing), and all volunteers. This mandatory, approximately one-hour online training is designed to be flexible; you can log in and out as needed.

When is it due? The primary deadline is Oct. 31. New employees have 30 days from hire, new volunteers must complete it before starting work, and spring semester students have until March 31. This training covers the academic year from July 1 to June 30.

Why is this crucial? Title IX training is crucial for fostering safe, inclusive and respectful campus environments by educating individuals on their rights and responsibilities under Title IX. And, it is required for all institutions receiving federal funding.

How do you complete it? Access the training module online.
