Riverside General Plan Update & Climate Action and Adaptation Plan - Build the Future at Our Upcoming Workshop
RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The City of Riverside is continuing its work on the General Plan Update (GPU) and Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) with a community workshop Thursday (10/9) at La Sierra University.
The General Plan serves as a blueprint for land use decisions, ensuring that Riverside continues to evolve in alignment with the community's vision and priorities. The CAAP is a strategic framework to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and build resilience against climate change. Together, with critical input from the entire Riverside community, the GPU and CAAP will define the future of our city for the coming decades.
The GPU and CAAP process is expected to last approximately two and a half years and will conclude in early 2027.
