Freestanding Shade Replacements

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Jan. 29, 2026) - Beginning Feb. 2, 2026, Charlotte County Parks and Natural Resources will begin preparatory work for upcoming freestanding shade replacements at the following locations:

  • Ann and Chuck Dever Regional Park - skatepark & playground
  • Carmalita Park - softball playground & football umbrellas
  • Centennial soccer & recreation center playground
  • Deep Creek playground
  • Franz Ross playground
  • Harold Avenue Park - baseball & basketball playgrounds
  • Rotonda Park playground
  • South County Regional Park - four picnic areas, soccer complex, and yellow playground shade
  • Tringali Park - tennis courts & playground

Patrons are asked to avoid these areas during active work, as temporary closures or access limitations may occur. Shade-related work is anticipated to continue through the end of March. Additional information and on-site signage will be provided as work progresses.
