The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and paving project will be performed on I-84 eastbound between Exits 30 to 35 in Southington and Plainville starting on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
The project consists of milling and repaving nightly on I-84 eastbound between Exits 30 to 35 in Southington and Plainville. This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2025
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures on I-84 eastbound in Southington and Plainville. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for the milling and paving is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday through Friday. Work will begin on Wednesday, August 20 with an anticipated completion date of Friday, September 26, 2025.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
