FedEx Expands its Electric Vehicle Fleet in Brazil

Federal Express Corporation, the world's largest express transportation company, announces the addition of 17 electric vehicles to its fleet in Brazil, bringing the total to 53 zero tailpipe emission vehicles in operation in the country. The new vans, Mercedes-Benz eSprinter Furgão Street 320 model, will be deployed at the company's facilities in Campinas (SP), Curitiba (PR), and São Paulo (SP).

The initiative is part of the FedEx global goal to electrify 100% of its parcel pick-up and delivery fleet by 2040. This transition has been carried out gradually across different markets around the world. In Brazil, this is the fourth delivery of electric vehicles in three years, with the most recent taking place in August 2025, when 27 new units were added.

Currently, the company operates electric vehicles in several cities across Brazil, including Salvador, Recife, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Curitiba, and Campinas. FedEx was a pioneer in the Brazilian cargo transportation sector by introducing electric vehicles into its fleet, with the first units arriving in the country in 2013.

In addition to expanding its fleet, the company continuously invests in the infrastructure required to support the electrification of its operations, including charging stations and data-driven tools that help optimize routes and reduce fuel consumption. These efforts strengthen operational efficiency and support the company's progress toward its environmental goals.
