Students have many opportunities to meet with prospective employers at a variety of events on campus each year.

In May, Lipscomb University graduated a class of over 550 undergraduate students and commission them to enter the professional world. In 2025, 99% of graduates obtained employment or pursued graduate school within six months of graduation. As the next cohort of graduates cross the stage, they may do so with hope and confidence, knowing that they follow in the footsteps of alumni with record-breaking Positive Career Outcome rates.

National average calculated by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). UTK, Belmont, and Lipscomb statistics were self-reported by each university.

Over the past five years, Lipscomb graduates have consistently obtained employment or pursued graduate school at a rate over 95%--about 10% higher than the national average. While Lipscomb has produced striking numbers throughout its history, we have seen this number increase from 96% in 2021, to 98% in 2022 and 2023, to 98.7% in 2024, and most recently, to 99% in 2025.
The 2025 number was based on an 83% knowledge rate.

When alumni thrive, students thrive. This is because they benefit from a stronger network of Bisons who can share career advice and professional connections. The Career Development Center regularly invites alumni to serve on career panels, at mock interview events, and as internship supervisors.

Graduate School: A Trend in the Data

The Positive Career Outcome measurement combines employment and graduate studies. Many Lipscomb students are choosing to further their education. In 2025, 71% of the Positive Outcome rate was due to gainful employment, and 29% was due to graduate school admission.

Graduate school numbers are higher than in 2021, when the split between continuing education and employment was 80% to 20%, respectively. This reflects national trends in higher education as well as the success of Lipscomb students in fields that require graduate degrees. Graduate school numbers were highest in psychology and health sciences programs, where graduate education is an instrumental step in advancing a student's career. Whether their next destination is a lab, a classroom or a workplace, this group of young alumni have a bright future ahead of them.
