Astronomy students featured on Outdoor Idaho

On Thursday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 7, Outdoor Idaho aired a program about volunteer activity in Idaho. Among other volunteer efforts, the program highlighted the IDAstro program, which is led by physics professor Brian Jackson and staffed by astronomy students from Boise State and other Idaho universities.

Students involved with the IDAstro project lend their talents to the public in night sky tours, using the facilities at Bruneau Dunes Observatory. They also use the newly constructed 28-inch telescope at Bruneau to conduct astronomical research.
