City of Tucson's Hope in the Park Resource Fair Seeks Volunteers

Published on February 26, 2026

Hope in the Park is seeking volunteers and providers for a one-day, one-stop resource gathering for unsheltered individuals to be held on Friday, March 6, at Freedom Park, 5000 E. 29th St., from 9 AM to 2 PM. The Multi-Disciplinary Outreach Team (MDOT) and Housing First, the City of Tucson's houseless outreach and provider divisions with Housing and Community Development (HCD), are sponsoring and organizing Hope in the Park.

Services to be offered include health screening, legal assistance, behavioral health assistance, shelter/housing, clothing, haircuts, animal care, VA benefits, food and more.

"Our volunteers are the heartbeat of this effort. Their compassion, time, and belief in the power of community are amplified through strong partnerships and the support of City leadership. Together, we are proving that when people show up for one another-with intention and collaboration-positive change follows," said Elle Millyard, Community Services Manager with HCD.

Based on previous Hope in the Park events, more than 300 people are expected at the park, including veterans and families with children.
