The Standard Names Doug Stearns Assistant Vice President of IT Mergers and Acquisitions Integration

PORTLAND, Ore. - Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Doug Stearns was named assistant vice president of IT Mergers and Acquisitions Integration.

In his new role, Stearns will lead the IT aspects of mergers and acquisitions, specifically for the recently announced American Heritage Employer Voluntary Benefits business acquisition. He will focus on incorporating technology ecosystems while creating scalable and repeatable methods for IT integration.

Stearns joined The Standard in 1993 and has held various leadership roles responsible for IT infrastructure, solutions and engineering as well as operations. Most recently, he was second vice president of IT Application and Solution Delivery Strategic Partner Management.

"Doug's extensive skillset, deep knowledge of The Standard's IT landscape and leadership experience with past integrations are all invaluable," said Nathan McKinstry, vice president of American Heritage EVB IT at The Standard. "I'm excited to have him in this role and further refine how we effectively integrate acquired organizations and provide greater value to The Standard and our customers."

Stearns earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and management from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington.
