Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing Attends the Launch Ceremony of the Chinese Major of National University of Samoa & Awarding Ceremony for the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship

On March 2, Chinese Ambassador to Samoa Fei Mingxing attended the launch ceremony of the Chinese Major of National University of Samoa (NUS) & awarding ceremony for the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship. Nearly 80 guests were present, including Honourable Minister of Education and Culture Professor Aiono Alec Ekeroma and Vice Chancellor and President of NUS Professor Tuifuisa'a Patila Amosa.

Ambassador Fei congratulated NUS on the launch of its Chinese Major and jointly presented awards with Professor Amosa to recipients of the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship. Ambassador Fei stated that China stands ready to further deepen educational cooperation with Samoa and continuously enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Honourable Minister Professor Aiono expressed gratitude to the Chinese government for its educational support to Samoa. He hoped that Samoan youth will continue to serve as a bridge of friendship between China and Samoa.

At the reception, teachers and students from the Confucius Institute at NUS performed a Hanfu and fan dance.
