During the yearlong project, each student helped design, write and illustrate a page. Turning a simple idea into a finished story full of color and imagination. The project gave students hands-on experience with storytelling, sight words and basic punctuation while they worked together to create something they could be proud of. Beyond new words, the book shows punctuation - periods, question marks and exclamation points - used correctly in context. He also noted that the project introduced fresh vocabulary and basic concepts in a fun, accessible way.
