NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (April 9, 2026) - Iconic cocktail destination Clydz will move into the new Health and Life Science Exchange (HELIX), anchoring the City's newest innovation district. Scheduled to open this September in the H-1 building, the relocation marks a new chapter for the 29-year-old Paterson Street restaurant.
The move allows Clydz to preserve its creative mixology and extensive martini list while expanding into a modern, high-energy environment. Led by Chef Jackie Mazza, the new location will feature an expanded food program, including lunch service, an extended dinner menu, and a private chef's table.
Clydz will be joined by the Strand Market, a food hall and community hub opening this spring or summer. The market will offer diverse options like Gallagher's Irish Pub, DeeDee's Pizza, and Barista Cafe.
"Together, these venues will serve the 4,000 people expected to work, innovate and live within the 1.5 million-square-foot HELIX ecosystem. These spaces are essential for fostering the collaboration and community energy central to the district's mission.
"Clydz has been part of New Brunswick's fabric for nearly three decades, and Strand Market represents the next generation of dining and community space. Together, they will help make HELIX not only a center for discovery, but a destination where people can connect, collaborate, and enjoy everything our city has to offer," Mayor Cahill said.
