Corridor Television, licensee of KCWX-TV Fredericksburg, has entered into an FCC Consent Decree and agreed to pay a "voluntary contribution" of $27,000 to end a commission investigation into the station's non-participation in national tests of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) in 2018, 2019, and 2021.
After investigating a complaint, the FCC issued a $369,190 Notice of Apparent Liability to Corridor in 2025, which the company demonstrated its inability to pay in full.
In addition to the voluntary contribution, Corridor must implement an FCC compliance plan to ensure future EAS rule violation do not occur.
