Unlawful Use of a Weapon

(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at approximately 11:16 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of W. Lucerne Court on a report of trouble with a male who was possibly armed with a handgun.

When officers arrived, they did not locate the subject at the above location.

During the course of this investigation, officers apprehended the adult male subject identified as 24-year-old Shaquille D. Brown in the 2900 block of N. Molleck.

While searching Brown officers located a handgun on his person. The handgun was reported stolen.

Brown was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Armed Violence, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and No FOID.

Brown was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
