RJC Statement on the Two-Year Anniversary of October 7th

Washington, DC - On the two-year anniversary of October 7th, the RJC remembers the 1,200 men, women, and children murdered in cold blood, the 48 hostages, both living and deceased, that remain captive in Gaza, and the heroic members of the IDF and Israel's security services who have been wounded and killed defending the Jewish state throughout the course of this war.

On October 7, 2023, during Shabbat and on the holiday of Simchat Torah, evil terrorists perpetrated the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

We will NEVER forget.

In the face of this horror, the resilience, patriotism, determination, and relentless grit of the Israeli people have inspired people around the world and united world Jewry in pride and solidarity.

From Gaza to Tehran, from Damascus to Beirut, the face of the Middle East has been changed forever-and the US-Israel relationship is stronger than it has ever been-in particular, with the obliteration of Iran's nuclear weapons capabilities.

We are encouraged that President Trump's bold plan to secure the immediate release of all remaining hostages from the tunnels of Gaza, and to end the war that Hamas started, is moving in a positive direction.

As the President said, there must be no delay or excuse by Hamas, "or else all bets will be off".

We pray for the swift reunification of the hostages with their families and for peace in Israel.
