PASADENA, Calif. - The City of Pasadena's Rent Stabilization Department (RSD) continues expanding Chats & Snacks with a Housing Counselor to District 5 on Tuesday, June 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Villa Parke Community Center. Hosted in partnership with the Housing Rights Center (HRC), this event takes place during Villa Parke's weekly Farmers Market, making it easy for residents to stop by and discuss housing concerns while they're already out in the community.
Building on the success of previous events in February and April, Chats & Snacks brings accessible housing counseling directly to community spaces, eliminating barriers like office hours, travel time, and the need for appointments. Residents can drop in anytime during the event to discuss housing concerns, learn about their rights and responsibilities, and connect with resources.
The June 30 event at Villa Parke Community Center will feature Housing Counselors prepared to address a wide range of rental housing questions and concerns. Attendees can seek guidance on rent stabilization laws, including rent increase procedures, tenant and landlord rights and responsibilities, mediation services, and available housing resources.
Through our partnership with the Housing Rights Center, residents will gain access to resources and learn about critical tenant protections, including rights related to disability accommodations, source of income, and protections for immigrant tenants.
