Snow Emergency Reminder

Snow Emergency Reminder

As 2025-2026 Snow Season begins, help Fraser Department of Public Works (DPW) keep our streets and sidewalks safe by knowing what to do when a Snow Emergency, which will include a Parking Ban, happens.

When a Snow Emergency is declared, no vehicle may be parked on any City street during the emergency. Violators are subject to both ticketing and towing. Residents should plan to have their vehicles parked off the streets during any announced Snow Emergency, especially when advanced notice is provided. Please check both the City of Fraser website and the City of Fraser City Hall official Facebook page for notifications. According to city ordinance, residents must also clear their sidewalks of snow within 24 hours after the snowfall ends.

Fraser DPW will clear major roads first before plowing neighborhood streets. If time, staffing, and weather allow, streets will continue to be cleared in this order throughout the Snow Emergency.

As always, Fraser DPW appreciates your patience and cooperation during these times, as plowing operations may take 24 hours or longer, depending on weather conditions.
