Featuring Warren Haynes, Neal Francis, Cyril Neville, John Molo And Preservation Hall Jazz Band, With Very Special Guests To Be Announced New Single "Jupiter" Out Now; New Album Vol. 2 - Juno Arrives December 4 Fall Tour Kicks Off This Week |
October 27, 2026 - Grahame Lesh & Friends announce Mardi Gras at Bill Graham , a special one-night concert taking place February 6, 2027, at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Bringing together an all-star lineup of musicians, the celebration will feature Warren Haynes, Neal Francis, Cyril Neville, John Molo and Preservation Hall Jazz Band, with very special guests to be announced.
The event draws on a longstanding Mardi Gras tradition within the Grateful Dead community, from the band's celebrated Bay Area Mardi Gras shows in the 1980s and '90s to Phil Lesh & Friends' Mardi Gras concerts at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in 2005 and 2008, as well as Mardi Gras celebrations at Phil's Terrapin Crossroads venue in the 2010s. Featuring special guests, historic collaborations with musicians from New Orleans and festive parades, these gatherings brought the spirit of carnival to the Bay Area. Now, Grahame Lesh carries that tradition forward, honoring his father's legacy and the enduring connection between the Grateful Dead community and New Orleans music.
Tickets will be available via a local venue presale beginning Wednesday, October 28 at 10 AM Pacific Time, followed by the general on-sale Friday, October 30 at 10 AM Pacific Time. Tickets and additional information are available at grahamelesh.com .
The announcement arrives amid a busy season for Lesh, who continues to honor and reinterpret the Grateful Dead's musical legacy through collaborative performances and new recordings. His new single " Jupiter " is out now, offering a fresh interpretation of his composition set to previously unused lyrics by Robert Hunter. The song originated from an unfinished concept connected to Phil Lesh's Planet Jams, a series of seven instrumental compositions inspired by the planetary spheres and written for the Phil Lesh Quintet's 2001 summer tour. Grahame first recorded "Jupiter" with Midnight North for the band's 2023 album Diamonds in the Zodiac, featuring his father on bass, and revisits the composition on his forthcoming Grahame Lesh & Friends album, Vol. 2 - Juno , arriving December 4 via Bandcamp and in a limited physical release. The five-track collection also features new interpretations of rarely heard material connected to the broader Grateful Dead community, including "Wave to the Wind," a Phil Lesh and Robert Hunter composition the Dead performed only a handful of times but never recorded in the studio.
Grahame Lesh & Friends kick off their fall headline tour this week with an October 29 show at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, followed by two nights at The Muse in Nantucket on October 30-31. The band returns to Los Angeles for three sold-out nights at Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever November 12-14, before heading to The Orange Peel in Asheville on December 18 and Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on December 19. Lesh will close out the year with two New Year's shows at The Parker in Fort Lauderdale on December 30-31, joined by Kanika Moore and the Wolfpack.
