McDowell Calls for Cooperation With Federal Law Enforcement Following January 24 Minneapolis Tragedy

Washington, D.C. - Today, Congressman Addison McDowell released the following statement regarding the events that took place Saturday, January 24, in Minneapolis, MN:

"What happened on Saturday in Minneapolis was an avoidable tragedy.

ICE and Border Patrol have critical and dangerous jobs. Their jobs are made more dangerous by the actions and rhetoric of Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.

President Trump's decision to send Tom Homan to Minnesota will help to end the chaos and bring accountability to the situation.

The Governor and Mayor need to fully cooperate with Tom Homan to restore safety and root out violent illegal aliens from our streets."
