Carrier Transicold is exhibiting its latest electric transport refrigeration products at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo taking place May 4-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, showcasing how commercial fleets can reduce emissions, lower fuel costs and comply with shifting emissions regulations. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
Carrier Transicold will be at Booth 2523 in the West Hall presenting refrigeration solutions for a range of vehicle types, including on-highway trailers, medium-duty trucks and delivery vans:
-
Vector 8200 Engineless Trailer TRU: All-electric refrigeration for trailers. The Vector 8200 is an all-electric, engineless transport refrigeration unit (TRU) with single and multi-temperature capabilities designed for trailers used as stationary cold storage. It uses electricity from the grid or other external power sources, eliminating the fuel consumption, emissions, noise and operating costs associated with a diesel-powered engine and generator. Four remote evaporator options provide flexibility for cooling one- or two-compartment trailers.
-
eCool Battery Pack: Electrification for existing trailer TRUs. The eCool Battery Pack is a plug-in battery system that pairs with existing trailer refrigeration units, enabling quiet, all-electric operation without replacing installed equipment. The system supports alternating current (AC) charging via shore power infrastructure and is designed for easy mounting onto the trailer frame, offering fleets a practical path to electrification.
-
Neos 200e: Electric refrigeration for last-mile delivery vehicles. The Neos 200e is an all-electric refrigeration unit for last-mile vehicles with cargo areas up to 200 cubic feet-roughly the capacity of a standard full-size delivery van. The Neos 200e runs on the vehicle's electric drive system, eliminating the need for a separate engine on the refrigeration unit and maintaining consistent cooling regardless of engine speed. Designed for versatility, the unit can be installed on a battery-electric van, drawing power from the vehicle's battery supply, or on a conventional engine-driven van, running off the vehicle's alternator and battery. An optional battery pack enables all-electric operation independent of the vehicle's power system. A ceiling-mounted evaporator and self-contained condenser assembly maximize cargo space and simplify installation across a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
-
Lynx Fleetâ„¢ Telematics: Connected monitoring and control. Lynx Fleet is Carrier Transicold's advanced telematics platform. Its hardware is integrated directly into the TRU, so the system can monitor location, temperature and performance whether the trailer is connected to a tractor or sitting untethered at a dock or distribution center. The next-generation Lynx Fleet analytics platform supports geofencing, event-based alerts and remote control of TRU setpoints and operating modes, helping fleets monitor performance and reduce the risk of downtime.
Another highlight of the Carrier Transicold booth is a RIZON e18L electric medium-duty truck equipped with a Carrier Transicold 50XR direct-drive refrigeration unit. The RIZON e18L's electric power take-off (ePTO) drives the 50XR compressor, demonstrating that fleets can transition to electric vehicles without moving away from their familiar, proven Carrier Transicold TRUs.
"Fleets are at different points in their electrification path, and our job is to make sure that when a fleet is ready to make a move, they know we're here with innovative technology and proven expertise to support them," said Bill Maddox, Global Trailer Portfolio Manager, Climate Solutions Transportation, Carrier.
