MLGW Downtown Community Office will close at 12:30 p.m. on both dates

The Downtown Community Office will close at 12:30 p.m. on July 31 and August 14.

The Downtown Community Office will continue accepting LIHEAP applications by appointment, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on all other business days, including Saturdays. Free validated parking for the Downtown Community Office is available in the Beale Street Landing parking garage, 246 S. Front Street.

Since June 15, the Downtown Office has processed 8,652 applications and approved over $5 million in assistance funds.

LIHEAP appointments can be made through the QLess appointment system at mlgw.com/QLess. Walk-in services are available only for seniors, individuals with disabilities and customers experiencing a crisis.

The South (2935 Lamar Ave.) and Whitehaven (1111 E. Shelby Dr.) Community Offices will be open. The Millington Office is closed for renovations. Customers can also pay bills online, by phone or at an authorized pay agent (mlgwagents.com). Only the Downtown Office offers LIHEAP assistance.
