Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, Conway, New Hampshire Police Chief Christopher C. Mattei and Berlin, New Hampshire Police Chief Jeff J. Lemoine announce that Eric S. Hogan, age 29, of Berlin, New Hampshire has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to the New Hampshire State Prison for multiple drug offenses in two counties.
Mr. Hogan pled guilty to one count of Possession of a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) with Intent to Sell and one count of Dispensing a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) in Carroll County Superior Court. The court sentenced Mr. Hogan to serve 9 to 20 years in the New Hampshire State Prison on the possession with intent charge. On the dispensing charge, the court sentenced Mr. Hogan to serve 3.5 - 7 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence.
Mr. Hogan also pled guilty to two counts of Sale of a Controlled Drug (Fentanyl) and two counts of Sale of a Controlled Drug (Cocaine) in Coos Superior Court. For the two fentanyl sale charges, the court sentenced Mr. Hogan to 10-20 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence in Carroll County, and concurrent with all other sentences. For the two cocaine sale charges, the court sentenced Mr. Hogan to 3.5-7 years in state prison, suspended for 10 years from the date of his release, to be served consecutive to the stand committed sentence in Carroll County, and concurrent with all other sentences.
The evidence in this case established that on April 16, 2024, in Conway, Mr. Hogan was found to be in possession of approximately 247 grams of fentanyl. Mr. Hogan admitted to investigators that he obtained and possessed the fentanyl with the intent to re-sell it, and that he had dispensed an amount of that fentanyl to a third party on April 15, 2024.
The evidence also established that Mr. Hogan participated in the sale of fentanyl and cocaine to a confidential informant in Berlin on two occasions in March and April of 2024.
The investigation and resolution of this case was the result of the collaborative efforts of the New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Prosecution Unit, the New Hampshire Attorney General's Drug Task Force, the New Hampshire State Police, the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, the Conway Police Department, and the Berlin Police Department.
